Campaign begins.
Dear Friends and
Neighbors,
Peru Volunteer Ambulance
Service Inc. provides 24-hour emergency care to the residents of
Peru,LaSalle, Peru Township, and Dimmick Township.
We are a not-for-profit
organization and have recently upgraded to the State's highest level,
Paramedic or ALS. We are non-taxing. This means we levy no taxes to pay for
services or equipment.
We maintain a minimum of
four emergency medical technicians ready to respond to your emergency 24
hours every day, seven days a week, 365 days a year! In addition, we staff
another ALS ambulance and crew at LaSalle Fire Station during the peak
daytime hours for a better response time to the east side of LaSalle.
Besides responding to emergencies, we contribute our medical services to
community events, such as parades, numerous run/walk/bike events, baseball
tournaments, Fourth of July and educational activities at our schools. We
provide CPR certification and recertification to local first responders,
fire departments, and CNA classes at the area vocational center. These
classes are also available to area industries and businesses.
In years past, we have
used donations like yours to upgrade our ambulances to safer, newer models,
and to purchase life-saving equipment, such as Autopulse CPR devices and
new, safer cots for our ambulances. This equipment has already saved lives
in our community.

This year
we are asking again for your help! Your donation will help us:

Continue education for our Basic level EMTs’
to bring their training to our highest level, Paramedic.
·
Purchase New Cardiac monitors for all of our
ambulances Approx $120,000.00.
(We have saved the lives of three persons in cardiac arrest
in the last few months.)

Purchase ventilation machines that will allow
us to help patients that are in respiratory distress
·
Upgrade our medical equipment and extrication
gear to new industry standards that allow us to better save lives.
Today we protect
you and your loved ones with a paid staff of 25 members, and a paid on-call
staff of over 20 members. We’re dedicated to saving lives and assisting in
any emergency in our district, day or night! We’re always ready to respond
at a moment’s notice.
